Danio Privacy Policy
Danio is built to keep your data on your device.
What stays on your device
Everything you enter in Danio — tank names, water parameter readings, feeding logs, maintenance records, and any photos you add — is stored locally on your device. If you use iCloud backup, your device's own backup includes this data; Danio does not operate a server and cannot access it.
The two things we share, and why
Danio uses two outside services, both processing data that isn't tied to your identity:
- RevenueCat processes your purchase (subscription or lifetime) so Danio knows what you've unlocked. It receives standard purchase/transaction data from Apple.
- Aptabase records a small, fixed set of anonymous usage events — never your data:
- onboarding started
- onboarding step reached
- onboarding completed
- first measurement logged
- tank created
- paywall viewed (and which screen opened it)
- purchase completed (and which plan)
No tank name, no species, no measurement value, no photo, no note ever leaves your device.
What Danio does not do
No account. No server. No advertising. No selling or sharing your data with advertisers. No tracking across other apps or websites.
Your rights
Since nothing is stored outside your device, deleting Danio deletes your data. If you have questions about your data, contact us at noonieapp@gmail.com.
